- Employeesshouldbeawareoftheeffecttheiractionsmayhaveontheirimages, aswellas AbhiCure’simage. Theinformationthatemployeespostorpublishmaybepublicinformation for a longtime.
- EmployeesshouldbeawarethatAbhiCuremayobservecontentandinformationmadeavailable by employees through social media. Employees should use their best judgment in posting materialthatisneitherinappropriatenorharmfultoAbhiCure, itsemployees, orcustomers.
- Although not an exclusive list, some specific examples of prohibited social media conduct include posting commentary, content, or images that are defamatory, pornographic, proprietary, harassing,libelous,orthatcancreateahostileworkenvironment.
- Employeesarenottopublish, postorreleaseanyinformationthatisconsideredconfidentialor notpublic. Iftherearequestionsaboutwhatisconsideredconfidential, employeesshouldcheck withtheHumanResourcesDepartmentand/orsupervisor.
- Socialmedianetworks, blogsandothertypesofonlinecontentsometimesgeneratepressand mediaattentionorlegalquestions.Employeesshouldrefertheseinquiriestoauthorized AbhiCurespokespersons.
- Ifemployeesfindencounterasituationwhileusingsocialmediathatthreatenstobecome antagonistic, employeesshoulddisengagefromthedialogueinapolitemannerandseekthe advice of asupervisor.
- Employeesshouldgetappropriatepermissionbeforeyourefertoorpostimagesofcurrentor former employees, members, vendors or suppliers. Additionally, employees shouldget appropriatepermissiontouseathirdparty'scopyrights, copyrightedmaterial, trademarks, service marks or other intellectualproperty.
- Social media use shouldn't interfere with employee’s responsibilities at AbhiCure. AbhiCure’s computersystemsaretobeusedforbusinesspurposesonly. WhenusingAbhiCure’scomputer systems, useofsocialmediaforbusinesspurposesisallowed(ex:Facebook,Twitter,AbhiCure blogsandLinkedIn), butpersonaluseofsocialmedianetworksorpersonalbloggingofonline contentisdiscouragedandcouldresultindisciplinaryaction.
- Subject to applicable law, after‐hours online activity that violates the AbhiCure’s Code of Conductoranyothercompanypolicymaysubjectanemployeetodisciplinaryactionor termination.
- Ifemployeespublishcontentafter‐hoursthatinvolvesworkorsubjectsassociatedwith AbhiCure, adisclaimershouldbeused, suchasthis:“Thepostingsonthissitearemyownand maynotrepresentAbhiCure’spositions, strategiesoropinions.”
- It is highly recommended that employees keep AbhiCure related social media accounts separate from personal accounts, ifpractical.
- FollowallapplicableAbhiCurepolicies. Forexample, youmustnotshareconfidentialor proprietaryinformationaboutAbhiCureandyoumustmaintainpatientprivacy. Amongthe policies most pertinent to this discussion are those concerning patient confidentiality, governmentaffairs, mutualrespect, politicalactivity, Computer, E-mail&InternetUse, the AbhiCure Integrity Program, photography and video, and release of patient information to media.
- Writeinthefirstperson. WhereyourconnectiontoAbhiCureisapparent, makeitclearthat youarespeakingforyourselfandnotonbehalfofAbhiCure. - AbhiCure strongly discourages “friending” of patients on social media websites. Staff in patient carerolesgenerallyshouldnotinitiateoracceptfriendrequestsexceptinunusualcircumstances suchasthesituationwhereanin-personfriendshippre-datesthetreatmentrelationship.
- AbhiCurediscouragesstaffinmanagement/supervisoryrolesfrominitiating“friend”requests withemployeestheymanage. Managers/supervisorsmayacceptfriendrequestsifinitiatedby theemployee, andifthemanager/supervisordoesnotbelieveitwillnegativelyimpactthework relationship.
- AbhiCuredoesnotendorsepeople, products,servicesandorganizations. OfficialAbhiCure accountsshouldnotbeusedtoprovidesuchendorsements.Forpersonalsocialmediaaccounts whereyourconnectiontoAbhiCureisapparent, youshouldbecarefultoavoidimplyingthatan endorsement of a person or product is on behalf of AbhiCure, rather than a personal endorsement.
